Michell Evans

Michell Evans is a second-generation groomer. Her family was well know for breeding and showing Yorkshire Terriers. They also owned and operated a prominent pet grooming business. As a child, she spent her summers grooming and her weekends showing.

Michell is now a multi-Best in Show and Best All Around winning groomer and she was a GroomTeam USA member 2009-2013. Michell was the hand stripping member of the, Silver Medal Winning, team in Belgium in 2011 and the, Gold Medal Winning, team in Spain in 2013.

She is the proud recipient of the, Barkleigh Honors Awards for, Competitive Groomer of the Year Award 2011, Up and Coming Judge of the Year 2013, Contribution to the Industry 2014 and the winner of Journalist of the year multiple times.

She earned the Liz Paul Memorial Trophy for the most Best In Shows for 2011 and the Liz Paul Best Scissored Poodle Award in 2011 and the Show Dogs Groomer of the Year award at Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in 2014.

She is a Certified Master Groomer through National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA), the International Professional Groomers Incorporated (IPG), the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists (ISCC) and the National Cat Groomers Institute (CFMG). Michell acted as a certifier for IPG and NDGAA for over 20 years.

Michell is a judge, speaker and demonstrator at the top trade shows around the world and she was a proud spokesperson and educator for Andis Clipper Company from 2012 through 2016.

Throughout her grooming career she has groomed and handled numerous breeds of dogs for AKC and CKC dog shows and continues to mentor others in show grooming and exhibition.

Michell owns the premier pet salon and spa, Canine Perfection in Oregon and her business, The Grooming Tutor, has been educating groomers since 2000. The Grooming Tutor is continually striving to provide education to the grooming industry.
