Judith Camarasa
Judith Camerasa began her career in the dog grooming world in the late 1990s and has been running her own salon, Barberdog in Llavaneres, since 1996. What started as a vocation quickly became a lifelong passion dedicated to grooming, competition, and education.
She entered the competitive circuit in 1999, earning medals and titles in Spain, across Europe, and in the United States. Her accolades include Best International Groomer of the Year (Intergroom, USA 2002), Best Groomer of Catalonia (2004), and Best Groomer of Spain (2014).
In 2003, Judith became an international EGA judge and represented Spain at the World Championship by Countries in the stripping class. A major milestone followed in 2006 with the creation of the Artero Creative Team, in collaboration with Artero, a globally recognized grooming brand—a project that marked a turning point in her professional journey.
Together with her partner Luis Martín del Río, who joined her in 2009, Judith has traveled internationally to compete, judge, and teach, sharing a deep commitment to the profession. She won the Oster Tournament of Champions in 2015 and was invited back as a judge in 2016.
Under her kennel name “Los Tajinastes,” Judith has competed worldwide with her breeds of choice, the Miniature Schnauzer and Brussels Griffon. With more than 25 years of experience, she continues to inspire groomers with her belief that consistency, humility, and love for dogs are the true foundations of excellence.
