Jay Scruggs

Jay Scruggs is a very accomplished and influential groomer in the world. He was the very first recipient of the Westminster Groomer of the Year Award, and the first male groomer to finish in the number one spot on Groom Team USA. Jay earned a place on Groom Team USA for five consecutive years, winning Best in Show or Best All Around at every show he competed in for the 2001 team. He is also one of the few groomers to win Best in Show in every class—Sporting, Non-Sporting large and small, Mixed/Miscellaneous, and Terriers.

On the international stage, Jay won American Groomer of the Year at Intergroom, the gold team medal and Best in Show at the 2001 Groom Team World Championship in Calgary, and both a gold and bronze medal at the 2003 World Championships in Barcelona.

Jay has also judged in esteem grooming shows around the world, including England, Ireland, France, Scotland, Australia, Spain, and Italy along side top judges in the industry.

A leading educational platform for all levels of groomers.Beyond the competition ring, Jay is recognized around the world as an educator, judge, and industry leader. He has been honored with numerous Barkleigh Honors and Cardinal Crystal Achievement Awards, including Groomer of the Year, Judge of the Year, Speaker of the Year, International Speaker of the Year, Video of the Year, Congeniality, and Outstanding Contribution to the Industry.
